Rohx just informed me there is a season 2 of Dance Hero Japan, and told me about the Beat Buddy Boi performance. Since then, I’ve been obsessed with this video. I’ve watched it about forty times in the last two days and I still find new things.
Some things to point out that you may not have noticed the first time around, but I think attention needs to be brought to. When all the guys first stand up to start dancing with the ‘old guy’, they bow to him. I love how they made it look like a dance move, but with culture. Then I love how he points his cain in each direction, and they follow. The part when the ‘old guy’ spins go a sheep sound. I saw lines, and they were clean. Layering too, there was almost always a something happening in the front and the back, top and the bottom- similar, but on different layers.
And, the reason I rewatch and rewatch is that ENTIRE end, with the chairs. Freaking impressive. If I wasn’t worried about people actually seeing me attempt it, I would pull out a stool right now and copy the shiz out of that sequence.
They danced amazing first season as well, but I just have a love for dancing that tells a story too. This one just so happened to be funny too, so it was a double threat. Also, this song was more enjoyable than first seasons music selections.
